I always enjoy telling you guys about some of the fun things I have seen while on the road—sort of like your personal tour guide.  There were a couple of things I wanted to mention…and this one is pretty cool.  Eric Key, who is a good friend and one of my guitar players, is actually related to Francis Scott Key- the man who wrote the "Star Spangled Banner." When we were recently in Fredericksburg, Maryland, we made a point of going to his monument there. It was really cool to be standing where the guy who wrote the most famous song in our country is buried.  Another cool thing I did was in Kansas City—I drank a shot of whiskey at the oldest and last outpost before the wilderness began—back in the day of course! It’s still standing where the three old west trails met—just think about the cowboys and covered wagons that would stop at this very spot, before there was any real civilization further west.  Made you realize what a brave group of our ancestors settled the west. I think if I’d lived back then, I would have been right there with them!
